Wexford Raises Over $14,000 in 21st Annual Read to Feed

Students at Wexford Elementary School raised $14,705.67 for the 2025 KDKA Turkey Fund, which works in partnership with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to distribute Thanksgiving meals to local families in need. Donations are matched by PNC. Students, teachers and staff celebrated Friday with their annual Turkey Fund Assembly. 

Over the last 21 years, Wexford Elementary School has raised over $500,000 for KDKA's annual Turkey Fund.

Each year, students are challenged to read as part of the school's Read to Feed program. Students pledge to read daily and track their books, while asking family and friends to sponsor their reading via donations that benefit local families. The assembly's activities were themed around the book The Bakery Dragon.
