Author, librarian and reading advocate John Schu visited Wexford to share his love of reading with students in an engaging assembly. Mr. Schu highlighted many of his favorite children's books and talked about what reading has meant to him throughout his life.

Wexford Elementary students are huge fans of the Pizza and Taco series by Stephen Shaskan, so everyone was excited last week when Mr. Shaskan paid a visit to Wexford! He taught the students how to draw Pizza and Taco, previewed his next book, led everyone in a singalong, and answered questions.

In honor of World Kindness Day on November 13, students in Mrs. Riederer’s third-grade class wrote notes of kindness to school helpers. Ava, Nova and Austin wrote to Mrs. Cerny, school nurse, and included memories such as, “I still remember when you helped me when I broke my wrist.”
